In November 2015, Tal Gibbesch of Berlin Dream Walks hosted a play reading of "The Colonel" and a follow up discussion. On a cold and rainy night to a packed room - the actors bought the play to life. We expected a following conversation about contemporary political challenges but the audience had a forceful philosophical debate about why people sacrifice for others, what are the limits of personal responsibility and to whom we have responsibility. The actors and audience honed in on the core themes of the play and inspired a re-write. Thank you to all there - the fabulous international community here in Berlin that supports new art.
